 Committee Log-In

Hospitality:  This committee sets up the space for the meeting, coordinates refreshments, coordinates clean-up, and plans social events for PFLAG Tri-Cities (picnics, etc.)

Speaker’s Bureau:  We need people to present the mission of PFLAG Tri-Cities to the community.   This would involve speaking at clubs, schools, and so forth.  Speakers will be trained in the mission of PFLAG Tri-Cities and provided resources to make high-quality, effective presentations.   We may call on speakers to be advocates as the need arises. 

Education Committee:  At each meeting we will have an educational element (twenty minutes or so) and we need folks to coordinate the content, speakers, and presentation.  

Facilitators for Discussion Groups:  At each meeting we will break up into groups and we will need people with group facilitation skills to allow for a safe space and ensure that everyone gets a chance to speak, etc. 

Administrative:  This would include keeping track of membership lists, the checking account, budgets, sending media releases, creating flyers, and so forth.

Fundraising and Outreach:  We need folks to reach out into the community, asking for sponsorships from businesses, clubs, and faith communities as well scheduling fundraising events, setting up booths at a community fair, etc.
